But offshore gaming has a lot of problems nowadays with the different rules seeking to bring it down somehow. One of the major problems is the lack of proper rules and guidelines for online sites compared to land-based casinos.

Aside from that, the UIGEA or the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act affects online gambling by prohibiting financial institutions from processing gambling transactions. The UIGEA was passed on October 13th, 2006.
